‎5 FALL DO AND DON'T TIPS! BROUGHT TO YOU BY REFINERY 29

Connie Wang, Global Editor

Do: "Let your lip stains fade over the day for a wine-stained, insouciant look."
Don't: "Let lip color wander. Kool-aid mouth is never a good look."

Annie Georgia Greenberg, New York Editor

Do: "Utilize that dry shampoo to test the limits of your hair. Let it go that extra day—sometimes my waves are best unwashed."
Don't: "Use baby powder. Everyone will know your tricks."

Kate Mulling, Los Angeles Editor

Do: "Sweep a pink blush on the apples of your cheeks if you've got a pale complexion."
Don't: "As a redhead, I never use bronzer because it makes me look monochromatic."

Gina Marinelli, Editorial Assistant

Do: "Experiment with bold lipsticks. It'll serve you well on a lazy girl's day when applying any other makeup seems like too much work."
Don't: "Match your eye/cheek/lip color shadow to your outfit; it starts to look like a whole lot of color craziness!"

Zoila Sylvester, Beauty Intern

Do: "Leave a little conditioner in after washing curly hair. It'll make it look way less frizzy!"
Don't: "Shampoo too often. You'll strip your hair of its essential oils."

New and Exciting Things At Serenity Spa

We have so many new and fun things going on at Serenity Spa.  Jaci Herrera has joined our team and she is a lot of fun!  Jaci does awesome manicures and pedicures.  She even does the Shellac!!  We are patiently waiting on our new massaging pedi chair.  Doesn't that sound heavenly?

Jaci also does facials and microderms.  Her airbrush tanning has really taken off!  Want a safe way to get a tan?  Come give it a try!

Mary Kemp has joined our massage team.  Mary has a true Texas accent and a hilarious sense of humor!  And she can massage!!  Mary has a knack for necks.  She can really work those kinks out.  When she isn't massaging she is playing with her pet goats and her puppy Oscar.

Katie has been massaging for us since we opened our doors.  She and her husband, Josh, are expecting their first child.  We are so excited for them.  It is a boy and his name is Timothy Nash Helmstetler.  He will be here around July 21.  He has a lot of "aunts" patiently awaiting his arrival!!

Beautiful Suzanne has been massaging for us for awhile.  She loves people and it shows in her work.  It is hard to get out of here without a hug and a smile from her.  She does deep tissue and mixes in some trigger point and stretching with her massages.  She recently learned arthrossage and is good at it!!

On Tuesday afternoons, Susan from Dora Roberts does massages.  She may be little but she has some strength behind her.  Her experience as a physical therapy tech gives her massages something unique.

Jessica Price is our Public Relations Specialist.  She is beautiful inside and out.  She has such a talent for getting things organized.  Jessica and her husband, Bob, own Moss Creek Ranch and are in the process of reopening Red Mesa.  We are so excited for them.  We can't wait!!

Holiday Concert at Moss Creek Ranch to Benefit Howard Hornsby

We are super excited about the Holiday Concert tomorrow night.  It will be at the Moss Creek Ranch at 7:30 pm after the Christmas Parade.  Cody Carnes, Jason Sanderson and Adrian Calvio will be performing.  These awesome artists are great friends of Howards.  Howard's brother, David, is our special guest MC for the event.  David has the same sense of humor as Howard.  This should be a fun time for everyone.
The cost of tickets is $20.00 at the gate.  You can get your tickets in advance at Serenity Spa or Buffalo Country Fina for $15.00.  Parties of 5 or more can get tickets for only $12.00 each.  Children 12 and under get in free.
Moss Creek Ranch will have food tickets for sale.  All of the profits from the tickets sold for the concert go to Howard to help pay for medical expenses.  A portion of the sales for the food tickets also go to Howard.
Please come and celebrate with us.  We want it to be fun and festive and celebrate an awesome man!

Permanent Make-Up

We are so excited to bring Martha and Sandra from Lubbock's A Touch of Beauty to Serenity Spa on October 11, 2010 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.  They will be doing permanent eyeliner, eyebrows and lips.  Denise and Jessica are doing the permanent eyeliner.  Maybe we can talk them into taking and posting before and after pictures.
Also, on October 6, Back In Motion Chiropractic and Serenity Spa will be having a Fall Open House.  Come by and meet our new chiropractor, Dr. Marcus Villareal "Dr. V".  We also will be welcoming home everyones favorite chiropractor, Howard Hornsby.  Dr. Hornsby will be coming home from Korea.  He went through gene therapy and stem cell therapy for stage 4 cancer.  The doctors say when he comes home he will be 90% cancer free!  Praise God!  What an awesome God we serve and what a testimony he will have!  We can't wait to see him.  We have missed him like crazy!

Watch My Progress

Don't be scared or adjust your monitor!  No! This is not a scene from a horror movie nor a Halloween graphic!  It's just me, Mary, your favorite local massage therapist at Serenity Spa.  We took this BEFORE picture of my face using the Athena Woodslamp.

I want to share my progress with you.  I will be doing microdermabrasion, photorejuvenation and using the Eminence skin care line.  I will be marking my progress with pictures and video clips.

The following picture is just to show my fine lines and wrinkles.

Please watch my progress!  Feel free to leave comments and ask questions.
